The Royal ASF80 Micro-Cut Shredder is the next level in document security. What makes this unit really stand apart from other shredders is the auto-feed feature. Just turn on the ASF80, lift-up the auto-feed tray and load up to 80 sheets of standard 20 lb. bond paper into the tray and walk away. The ASF80 does the rest. Using four small rubber rollers, the unit will carefully grab each individual sheet and direct it into the shredding slot to be destroyed. This is very much like the way your laser printer or copier feeds paper to be printed. The photo sensor starts the shredding process and turns off the shredder once it has completed its task. Two lift-up access doors allow you to safely clear any paper jams, if they should occur. You can also manually shred additional sheets or credit cards through the manual 8 7/8 shredder slot while the ASF80 is in the auto-feed cycle. You can also manually feed up to 8 sheets of 20 lb. bond paper in a single pass for those smaller everyday jobs. In either manual or auto feed, the powerful .84 HP AC motor easily shreds those documents into tiny 4mm x 12mm unreadable pieces. Credit cards are quickly destroyed as well through the same paper slot. The easy-to-use control panel is located on the top of the shredder with clear access to the power on/off, forward and reverses switches. Also on the top panel are LED lights indicating power ready, overheat, overload and bin full information. Royal provides a large 4.5-gallon pullout waste bin to store the shreds until you are ready to discard them. An LED sensor will light when the waste bin is ready to be emptied or you can view the shreds through the clear viewing window located in the center of the waste bin.
